This week I've decided to do a blog on winter weddings as its such a lovely time of the year to get married and for all you brides that are still deciding on a date for your wedding here is a little inspiration for maybe having a winter wedding.
When choosing your gown for a winter wedding there are loads of styles to choose from depending on personal preference. A lot of brides are afraid they would be too cold but that doesn't have to be the case there are lots of different options you could choose a gown with heavy and warm material, you could have sleeves on your dress or even wear a fur coat or a fur shawl.
Then there is the wedding theme or colour and with a winter wedding you have a huge colour palette to choose from maybe you would like a Christmas theme. You can choose beautiful dark colours for your bridesmaids like red, maroon, burgundy, navy, emerald green or maybe even black or maybe you would prefer a light colour palette with pastel colours like blush pink, light blue, sage, lilac or even ivory or white.
Some brides even opt for mix and match bridesmaids and have them in different colour dresses with maybe two in one colour and two in another colour or maybe just have the chief bridesmaid in a different colour to the rest either way its a lovely idea and a nice way to be unique and once again they could also wear fur shawls to keep them warm and it would look lovely in the photos.
When choosing décor for a winter wedding imagine how beautiful lanterns and candles are at weddings any time of year but during the winter when its dark and cold out it would be even more beautiful. Then there is the Christmas decorations if its around this time of the year and most venues will have the place decorated so in that case you don't need much but maybe you would like to add something a little different to your wedding you could always get a hot chocolate bar which you can actually hire from us and its absolutely perfect for a winter wedding to keep guests warm after the ceremony.
When it comes to flowers you have such a choice from the texture to the gorgeous colours and foliage and if you really want you can even to add berries or pinecones to your bouquets and in winter you can add as much glitter and sparkle as you like which I'm sure a lot of brides would love.
I hope this blog has been helpful to any undecided brides.
